The Fruit of Faithfulness and Goodness
There is a common idea in the church that we are not good enough and that we aren’t really capable of being good enough. This is true in many ways as we hear passages like: “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”. Yet, we have also allowed this idea to seep into our potential in Christ.
As we reflect this Sunday on the Holy Spirit coming upon us and bringing his amazing fruit, characteristics, and potential, we need to see that even though we are not good enough, God living in us is. We can and are meant to live in the faithfulness and goodness of God. This is a difficult calling, but surprisingly simple and practical in how it is lived out. Join us this Sunday when we look at the Holy Spirit’s fruit of goodness and faithfulness.
